UniSieve raises $9M to scale high-precision membrane solution for industrial separations

Zürich, Switzerland, 8th October 2026  — UniSieve, the Zürich-based deep tech company developing high-precision membranes for industrial gas separation and carbon capture, today announced that it has raised USD 9 million in Series A funding. The round was led by the Orano Venture Fund, managed by Supernova Invest, alongside new and existing investors including Amadeus APEX Technology Fund, Founderful, Zürcher Kantonalbank and the Guenat Holding. The round brings UniSieve’s total funding to date to USD 25 million.

Reducing the energy footprint of a process at the heart of modern industrial infrastructure

Until now, turning these advanced materials into durable gas-separation membranes that can be manufactured reliably at industrial scale has remained a major challenge. This is the technological hurdle UniSieve has overcome.

Scaling deployment and expanding into new industrial applications

UniSieve has brought its novel class of hybrid membranes to pre-commercial maturity in two applications: olefins and point-source carbon capture. Both are backed by repeatable manufacturing, field-validated performance, and deployable systems.

The Series A funding will enable UniSieve to scale its technology in existing markets and expand into additional industrial applications, as the company moves from technological validation towards broader commercial deployment.

“A new age of separations: UniSieve’s high-precision membranes make it possible to replace energy-intensive thermal technology with compact and simple solutions. This enables clients to recover more of their products and control emissions while spending less. The fresh capital will allow us to focus on execution”,

said Samuel Hess, CEO of UniSieve AG.

“Sam and Elia have demonstrated a remarkable ability to turn a highly complex technological breakthrough into a solution addressing a major industrial challenge, showing strong capital discipline along the way. UniSieve illustrates exactly what we look for at Supernova Invest and the Orano Venture Fund : deep tech with the potential to improve industrial performance and impact large industrial value chains. We are proud to support the team as it enters its next phase of commercial and industrial scale-up,”

said Jonathan Grosskopf, Investment Director at Supernova Invest.

“We are reinvesting in UniSieve because we see a company on a clear path from proven technology to a meaningful commercial scale. The addressable market spans chemical processing, industrial gas separation and carbon capture, and UniSieve has moved methodically from pilot deployments to larger systems with paying customers. That trajectory, more than any single technical milestone, is what gives us conviction to back the team again as they expand into new industrial applications,”

said Wolfgang Neubert, General Partner, APEX Ventures.
